Name a Cable

Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer

In the 1970s, if you were diagnosed with cancer you had a 1 in 4 chance of surviving for 10 years or more. Thanks to research, this has doubled to 2 in 4. Cancer Research UK want to accelerate progress against cancer and see 3 in 4 people surviving cancer by 2034. This is ambitious but with support from the DP Building partnership we can help beat cancer.

The Concept

The effects of cancer are long-lasting

We want to make the experience and our products as personal as possible for Cancer Research UK supporters and offering the opportunity to honour loved one’s on our Cancer Research UK products in a campaign we have named ‘’name a cable’’.

As a tribute to loved-ones, friends, family, colleagues –DP Building Systems is giving Cancer Research UK supporters a unique opportunity to personalise the cable packaging with the name of someone they’d like to commemorate. Selected name will be honoured with every cable we product throughout our partnership with Cancer Research UK.

It is important to DP Building Systems and Cancer Research UK to offer supporters the opportunity to make a donation in memory of a family member, friend or a carer which could be a nurse, doctor or someone that has shown support when it is needed

Cancer Research UK will randomly select a name for every 1,000 we produce and the chosen name will be added to the packaging to be honoured and remembered. You do not need to buy a cable, simply submit the loved one’s name a make a donation of any value with 100% of donations being passed to Cancer Research UK.

To launch this initiative, friends and family of DP Building Systems have put forward their tributes, the names that have been chosen to be honoured on the first products are listed below:
