There are around 165,000 cancer related deaths each year in the uk.

Over the years, family and friends of DP Building Systems have also been affected, and that’s why the company is passionate about doing its part to support Cancer Research UK.

We wanted to make a difference, especially going through an extremely difficult period for Cancer Research UK. The donations in which Cancer Research UK receive are extremely important in supporting their pioneering work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer. The charity is estimating a £160m drop in income this year as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. For every product purchased, a donation will go directly towards helping to reduce this shortfall.

But why have this local company decided to support Cancer Research UK?

"I lost my Mum to cancer when I was 17 years old and I didn’t tell any of my friends that Mum was diagnosed. I am not sure why, but I was young, and I wasn’t sure who to talk too, what to do, and the support from charities such as Cancer Research UK were not available."

Continued… “My Dad also was diagnosed with prostate cancer six years ago when he was running DP Building Systems, and he asked me to take over the family business. Thankfully, he recovered. But cancer has not just impacted me, its affected many of my employees in different ways. As a team, we wanted to make a difference to beat cancer and we felt by generating donations, raising awareness and offering people a means to remember and celebrate the people they love and perhaps, have lost, is important to us. We know it’s only a small gesture, but we want to do our bit to help find a cure.

“Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer, and when we researched the impact that COVID has had on the vital research, we knew we wanted to become a corporate partner with Cancer Research UK and make a difference with our products.”

“Our products have been designed to raise much needed donations whilst adding value to everyone’s day-to-day lives, not just a throw away product. The packaging is 99% biodegradable, and the products have all been tested and approved”.

Cancer Research UK is absolutely delighted to be launching our partnership with DP Building Systems. We are excited that DP Building Systems has designed a unique 5-in-1 charging cables that will help to raise awareness and funds for Cancer Research UK. DP Building Systems’ support is invaluable and will help us continue our life-saving work to make progress for people affected by cancer, who have never needed us more. We look forward to an exciting time ahead working together”.
